The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education examination is held for students of class 10 & 12 both. Students anxiously wait for the ICSE 2013 timetable. ICSE papers datesheet is declared around one month in advance so that students can plan their preparation accordingly. However, ICSE board tries to ensure that students get sufficient time for the preparation of ICSE papers. ICSE Board 2013 timetable has been announced by the board.
As per ICSE 2013 timetable, 10th Class exams are scheduled to be held in the month of February. ICSE first paper commences on 27th February. The first paper is of Mathematics which is followed by English Paper 1 - Literature in English scheduled to be held on March 4, 2013. Some papers are of 2 hours duration and some of 3 hours duration. This can be checked from ICSE 2013 timetable. ICSE 2013 Timetable lists the date along with the subject, start time and the duration of each exam. The exam ends on March 25 with the art paper IV (Applied Art). Students will get enough time to revise for science subjects and mathematics.
Students are not evaluated only on basis of the external exams. Students are also evaluated on basis of internal assessment. As part of internal assessment, students will have to complete the assignments. The candidates will have to appear in around 8 â€" 12 papers.
To prepare well for exam, students should prepare a study plan according to the ICSE Board timetable and ICSE syllabus for different papers. The students should go through the complete syllabus before the exams commences on 28th February. Once the exam commences, they will get the time to just revise the syllabus. It will be difficult for students to understand the concepts in 2-3 holidays between different papers. This will help them to remain stress free and perform well in the exam.
